Seizures and subcutaneous calcifications

Yehia Y. Mishriki, MD

VOL 114 / NO 5 / NOVEMBER 2003 / POSTGRADUATE MEDICINE

A 36-year-old woman with a history of generalized seizures was seen for a routine office visit. The diagnosis of seizures was made during the patient's childhood, and since that time, subcutaneous calcifications had developed (a). She was of short stature (b). When she clenched her fist, a dimple was noted in place of the fourth knuckle (c).
