Accreditation statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through sponsorship of Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association. Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation of credit
Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of participation in the activity.
Postgraduate Medicine Online has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 34 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP accreditation begins 7/01/06. Term of approval is one year from this date. This issue is approved for 8.5 Prescribed credits. Credit may be claimed for one year from the date of this issue.
Intended audience
Primary care physicians in clinical care.
Method of participation
Physician learners will participate in this educational activity by reading articles either on line or by printing them out and answering learning assessment questions. A minimum score of 75% is required to receive credit for this activity. This activity should take 8.5 hours to complete.
Release date: July 2006. Termination date: July 2007.
